1. Cocoa and Coffee

Inverness Transport is a member of the Dutch Cocoa Society (Nederlandse Cacao Sociëteit). Every day we load cocoa and coffee in major European ports like Amsterdam, Hamburg, Bremen, Antwerp, Le Havre, Barcelona, Valencia and Trieste. We then unload the goods at the processing industry plants across a number of countries. We load both in bulk (belttrailers) and as bagged goods (pallets or loose, secured with lashing belts). For longer trajectories we also offer container transportation.

Thanks to our excellent personal relations at the various loading points, we are able to offer our clients and purchasers rapid service. For the major factories where we unload, we are responsible for the entire logistical process and its related safety and unloading procedures.

2. Sugar

We load sugar mainly in the port of Antwerp and at other European storage sites. Our cargoes are delivered to a variety of manufacturers in the European food industry. We generally load sugar in sacks or big bags. In most cases we use curtainside trailers for the transportation. We relieve you, the client, of any concerns right through from A to Z during the logistical process.

3. Potatoes

We load potatoes from farmers at home and abroad, to then unload them at packagers for the various supermarkets and manufacturers of crisps and chips, among others. We take care of the entire logistical process associated with this, including the relevant paperwork. You are able to focus entirely on your core business: selling potatoes. Naturally we keep a close watch on the weather reports so as to protect your freight fully from winter cold.

For transporting consumption potatoes, we generally use frigo trailers or tautliners. We also transport large volumes of seed potatoes in bulk trailers, like belttrailers, walking floors or tippers. We prefer to include disinfection of the trailers in our logistical process.

4. Carrots

For transporting unwashed carrots we generally use hoppers, walking floors or tippers. Washed carrots are also transported in bulk or with tautliners or refrigerated trailers. Just as when carrying potatoes, for carrots we also ensure suitable protection should the weather demand it. We relieve you, the client, of any concerns right through from A to Z during the logistical process.

5. Fruit and vegetables

With our refrigerated trailers we criss-cross the whole of Europe to load fruit and vegetables from the growers. We then deliver the products – such as lettuce, paprika, celeriac, tomatoes, grapes, mandarins and oranges – in perfect condition. This happens for our own customers and in a number of market locations in major cities in Germany, France, Italy and Spain. With this specialised transportation we also take the entire logistical process off your hands.

A collaboration of 10 years

‘For almost ten years we have worked with Inverness Transport to our full satisfaction. They carry out transportation of a variety of cocoa products. We are enthusiastic about the pleasant relationship with the planners and the very correct way in which loading times and vehicle registration numbers are communicated.’
